Oh, 2 Amys. What a place. We've been going to 2 Amys at 3715 Macomb St (just off Wisconsin Ave, NW) in Washington DC for years and it is always great. They mix their dough on site using a combination of organic and conventional wheat flours. They bake each one to order in a woodfired oven and they top them with vibrant and intoxicating ingredients. We love the simple one which is just tomato sauce and buffalo mozzarella. And we usually combine it with another pie topped with anchovies, garlic and kalamata olives.

The pizzas are single serving, which is great as everyone can order what he or she wants and then share with everyone else. They provide you with a knife so you can cut your slices just how you like them. In addition to great pizza they have great salads and appetizers. Awhile ago we had an orange salad with red onions, olives and chives along with a great glass of red wine to start the meal

We can't recommend this one enough. Oh, the other cool pizza is Santa Brigida which is topped with a mountain of arugula. Check out their simple website to take a look at the whole menu. Then go.
